Who controls the seed?

Ownership. It’s at the heart of so much conflict. And conflict, as any fiction writer knows, is the heartbeat of any good story. Conflict over ownership of a seed is at the centre of the story told in The Seed Thief, which is a fiction based on fact, or versions thereof. Those facts are in the news again, as Monsanto gets its fingers dirty in Africa.  Here’s an update from SACSIS  (the South African Civil Society Information Service) by Glen Ashton – ‘Is Africa About to Lose the Right to her Seed?
